ABOUT US: Hello, I am Pete Jackson a PADI Master Instructor and owner of the Coki Beach Dive Club. Coki Beach Dive Club is a PADI 5 STAR RESORT FACILITY (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) and SDI Dive CENTER. We also are a Universal Referral Center that represents a group of smaller Diving Associations - IDEA-NASDS-NAUI-PDIC-SSI-YMCA SCUBA. Our staff consists of experinced professional PADI Dive Instructors and PADI Dive Masters who love to dive and to teach diving. I arrived in ST Thomas is 1985 from the Colorado Ski Country, looking for a warmer climate. My backround has always been in the service industry and my goal was to adapt my service backround to Scuba Diving. My first job on ST Thomas wasworking for a dive shop who brought dive tours from cruise ships to COKI BEACH. I quiclkly realized not only how good the diving was for both Beginner and Certified divers but what a variety of marine life, right off the beach. And Guess what? There wasn't a dive shop located at the beach!  In 1989 I pulled up in converted taxi van, hung my sign  and started my one man operation. Over the years my dive shop has slowly grown with the addition of staff, enlarged retail selection and boat dives. I am now happy to say we have moved into a permanent location at the entrance of Coral World's property adjacent to Coki Beach. Our shop and dive station is actually more convienent then before. We are able to conduct our classes in a quieter atmosphere and our customers are able to use the restroom facilities inside Coral World along with use of the parking lot.

OUR GOAL: is to provide the Virgins Islands most convenient and affordable diving in a fun, and relaxed atmosphere with emphasis on safety. A place where you always get "More Bubbles for your Bucks"! We try to keep our rates low to offer you a value for your diving dollar. Maybe thats why we were voted "Best dive shop in the Virgin Islands for 2009" by the readers of the Daily News, the local island newspaper!

ABOUT OUR CLASSES: Coki Beach Dive Club offers quality scuba diving certification courses, guided dive tours for beginners and certified divers, snorkel rentals, beach diving, boat diving, and dive classes for kids. Our rates are very reasonable. We are the only dive shop on the island that has a true beach dive along with boat dives. This gives us a flexiblity that no other dive shop on ST Thomas has.

If you are thinking about a certification course, Coki Beach is a premier spot. That's why we are one of the leaders in PADI Dive Certifications throughout the Virgin Islands. We also offer a better alternative to the dive and snorkel tours offered through most Cruise Ships. Our groups are small and our service personal, without the cattle tour attitude of most cruise ships.

ABOUT OUR BEACH: We are now located in our new permanent location at the Enterance to Coral World adjacent to Coki Beach, off Route 388 on the north-east end of the island, approximately 25 minutes from Havensight dock and 1/2 hr from the Crown Bay dock. Coki Point is situated at a meeting point of the Caribbean and the Tropical Atlantic providing generally excellent visibility, very often over 70 ft and a wide variety of sea life year round. Coki Beach  is open to the public, at no charge. Don't let anyone try to collect an entrance  or parking fee! The beach is a popular beach so best time to avoid any crowds in ealier in the mornings. No matter how many people maybe on the beach the dive reefs will no be crowded. The beach is operated by the Virgin Islands Parks and Recreation Dept. They allow vendors to solicit business on the beach. We do not solicit business.

If you are a SNORKELER look at the beach map, the right side by the rocks has the most fish. If you don't like to go far from the beach, the fish will come up to you and feed out of your hand even in chest deep water. Our Scuba quality snorkel gear is for rent for $10 a day or $40 for the week. Our equipment is sanitized and up to date. We do not solicit business but are located in the property of Coral Worlds parking lot adjacent to the beach. PLEASE DON'T STAND ON THE CORAL REEF WITH YOUR FINS OR TAKE ANYTHING FROM THE WATER

If you are a Non-Certified Diver, the beach dive offers a better alternative to a boat dive. You will find it more comfortable to dive from the beach then a rocking boat. The in water practice is right at the beach rather then a pool. The descent to the reef is much more gradual off the beach then a boat. We can cut an hour or 2 off the time of the course simply by practicing and diving right off the beach with out the tiime consuming use of a pool and boat trip. We know your vacation time is valuable as well as you money.We are able to offer a better dive without the over head of a pool or boat which make our beginner dive a better value then any other dive shops dive on the island. Since the snorkelers have been had feeding the fish for years there is an abundence of fish life to be seen on the reef.

If you are a CERTIFIED DIVER an easy entry and smooth sandy bottom leads to a live Coral Reef with no surface swim. There are 2 reefs, with maximum depths of 50 and 40 feet. Lots of divers say it's as good as many of the boat dives they have been on. Maybe that's why you will see other dive shops bringing their guests here.

Coki Beach is also an excellent place for new or rusty divers. If you had a bad experience on your last dive don't give up. Coki is a non-threatening place to try it again. Our instructors are there for you.

ABOUT OUR SERVICES: 

transportation service We offer a taxi Credit towards the the cost of your guided dive or snorkel tour to cruise ship passengers and hotel passengers with a reservation. The credit will cover the cost of you taxi fare out to our shop, up to $10 per person and offers more flexiblity that a pick up by us. At our beach location wa have lockers to rent for $5 as well as a safe place for your larger bags and valuables along with rinse bucket- for your  personal gear.

Rental Gear. Full day Snorkel Rentals $10 Scuba Rentals $30 must have proof of scuba certification and a butddy to dive with.
